ABSTRACT
Testosterone is the main hormone
related to aggression and violence in social contexts. Animal studies support
this relationship but the evidence in human beings is weak. The aim of this
revision is to offer an updated view of the current state of this relationship,
focusing mainly on adult human beings. First of all, a description of animal
investigation will be reported, basically in rodents. After this, human being
studies will be explained, especially in adult population. Finally, we will
conclude it offering future lines of investigation that could be useful in
studies applicable to our society.
